All of our doctors take multiple continuing education classes throughout the year. They are constantly learning so they can be as up to date on the latest materials and techniques. Not only do the doctors take CE courses but the whole staff takes courses as well. This way our entire office is up to date and we can offer you the very best.

Our initial appointments are very thorough and therefore take a little longer than the
“average” appointment. We allow 1 ½ hours for a new patient appointment and exam. During this time we take the necessary x-rays, take a detailed history of current and past habits ( smoking, clenching, grinding, sensitivity etc…), check your gums for signs of periodontal disease, head and neck exam, oral cancer exam, examine teeth for cracks or decay, take digital pictures and clean the teeth (if able – some cases require different cleanings).

We accept all traditional plans. We are out of network for most PPO’s. We do not accept any discount plans or DMO’s. If you are unsure of what type of insurance you have, please feel free to call and we will be happy to help.

The most important thing to realize is that your insurance policy is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company. We do not determine your benefits. We file it as a courtesy to you. We do not have a contract with your insurance company, only you do. Every patient has a different policy so we cannot possibly know what your specific policy encompasses. It is your responsibility to know your policy. We will verify your policy and find out the general coverage. We can only estimate your portion based on the information your insurance company gives us. At no time do we guarantee what your insurance will or will not do with each claim. We base our dentistry on your needs. They may or may not cover what you truly need. If you have questions, it is best to call your insurance company directly.
No insurance pays 100% of all procedures. Most only pay between 50-80%, depending on the policy. The percentage paid is usually determined by how much you or your employer has paid for coverage or the type of contract your employer has set up with the insurance company.

Yes. Each dental office is required by law to have current x-rays for each patient. You may bring copies of your most recent x-rays but we must be able to read them. Please remember we take x-rays as necessary. We cannot see between the teeth or through the bone. There are multiple types of x-rays used to visualize different areas ( jaw joint, sinus cavitites etc…). You may need multiple types of x-rays. These may or may not be covered by insurance so additional fees could be incurred. We will take the minimal amount needed.
