With over 18 years of experience, Dr. Mitcham and Dr. Long opened the doors of The Dentists at Grand Parkway in April of 2004. They did so to provide the very best dentistry they could in the most technologically advanced dental practice available. They computerized each and every operatory, added digital cameras in each room, digital x-rays, state of the art medical grade sterilization and a highly trained core staff each of whom has 10 or more years of experience! We have dedicated ourselves to provide the very best in a sophisticated, comfortable environment.
Dr. Long graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. She then moved to Houston and worked as a dental assistant for a year before going to dental school. She attended The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. She graduated in 1996 with her DDS and then completed her residency program in The Advanced Education of General Dentistry. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, The Greater Houston Dental Society where she holds a place on the peer review committee, The Texas Dental Association and The American Dental Association.
Dr. Long has been happily married to her husband, Rob (also an Aggie) and has a son, Travis ( future Aggie!). She loves animals but Rob has held her to only 2 dogs. A Golden Retriever named Picasso and an Australian Shepard named Bogey. They enjoy outdoor activities of all types. Rob and Travis are big golfers, Travis also enjoys playing soccer, with dad as a coach and mom is usually the team manager. They enjoy traveling and just spending time together as a family.
Dr. Mitcham graduated from Baylor with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She practiced for many years as a hygienist and then furthered her education by going to dental school. She graduated from the University of Texas Dental Branch in 1987 with her DDS. She is a member of The Greater Houston Dental Society, The Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Mitcham and her husband Mike have been living in bliss for 21 years. They have two wonderful kids, Megan and Matt. Megan attends school at Texas A&M and Matt is going to graduate from Taylor H.S. in May 2010. They have an adorable Scotty dog named Elvis. The Mitcham’s stay busy dividing their time between band and baseball. They love to travel, (preferably by boat!) and enjoy lots of family activities.
Dr. Jacob graduated from Southwestern University with a Bachelor in Biology and minor in music. She completed her DDS at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Dr. Jacob brings to our staff a fresh new look at modern dentistry. She is a member of The Greater Houston Dental Society, Texas Dental Assoc and The American Dental Assoc. Dr. Jacob began her dental career in 2006. Dr. Jacob is from Katy. Being able to serve her community has been a life long dream. She loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling and enjoying life.
